irish Posted January 13, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 13, 2011 In a recent book on WW2 I ran across this small prayer that was carried by Eleanor Roosevelt during the war and it hit me between the eyes, This should still be valid today. This short sonnet was given to her by Canadian Wm Stephenson "Intrepid" of British Intelligence, most poignant. Dear Lord- Lest I continue my complacent way Help me to remember somewhere out there a man died for me today As long as there be war I then must ask and answer Am I worth dying for?
