Good day to all. I just received a 1936 Musette bag made by the Atlantic Products Corp in 1942. The bag has a laundry mark of T-6535 and appears to be in mint condition. The carring strap is marked Excel 1942. What puzzels me is the fabric of the bag makes a crinkeling sound. Were these bags treated with some kind of water proofing?

An attitional surprise was found in the center compartment. Inside was a statement of paid commissions and a letter from The Prudential Insurance Company of America dated March 8 1943.

The statement of commissions paid has the name of I. Thruston, Utica Office and is dated 3/5/43. The letter heading is in re Irving Thruston, earnings-year 1942. I can only assume this bag once belonged to Irving Thurston. Can anyone shed some light on this find for me.

Thanks
