ehrentitle Posted January 10, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 10, 2011 I recently purchased this lot of cloth badges as part of my effort to find variations on Parachute Rigger badges. I assume they are Air Force because of the Blue background. Would anyone know what uniform and what time frame they would have been worn? Thanks in advance for any assistance. Robswashashore Posted January 11, 2011 Share #2 Posted January 11, 2011 I believe... The Third badge is USAF Enlisted Aircrew. One on the bottom is USAF Security Police Occupational Badge. Both worn on the "ODs." Bluehawk or Dutchinfidel can tell you the time frame. Been a while since they have had the blue and white ones.

alexhydell Posted January 12, 2011 Share #5 Posted January 12, 2011 Top wing is an Army Rigger wing. 2nd Wing is a USAF Parachutist Wing worn until the Air Force went subdued in the 80's. I think that the only USAF guys that wear the rigger wing have been to the Army Rigger school.
ehrentitle Posted January 12, 2011 Author Share #6 Posted January 12, 2011 Thank you all for your comments. They have given me a sense for the time frame the Rigger Badge was produced, around the 1970s. It a slight variation of the Army Parachute Rigger Badge that was authorized for wear by local commanders until 1986 when the official badge was authorized by the Army.
