knd643 Posted April 19, 2014 Share #133 Posted April 19, 2014 Here's mine. The Marine is Norman Alaric Woods, sadly he passed in 2010. He received a purple heart on Iwo Jima and I also have his blanket to. Got this grouping at the SOS this year.

My dear friend was in the 3rd Amph Tracs! If this is considered against forum rules, I apologize, I'm new, but if you ever want/need to pass that on, do keep me in mind! Bob Hudson Posted July 10, 2014 Share #143 Posted July 10, 2014 This guy was too young for WWII, but enlisted in 47, was in Guam (Pagan Island) and was in Korea during the early part of the war. He had a communications MOS (as evidenced by the signal flags) and seems to have marked the seabag with the names of almost every place there were Marines in WWII and early in the Korean War. rob214 Posted July 20, 2014 Share #148 Posted July 20, 2014 Here's a seabag I picked up in 1996. Nothing too fancy. Id'ed to Sherman W. Postle, Weapons Co, 24th Inf regiment, 4th MarDiv. I found on ancestry.com that he was WIA on Tinian.
