Giovanni80 Posted January 8, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 8, 2011 Hi all, I found these tags in a flea market in Bologna, may you help me to understand why are there two differents adresses on them? So here is what I found on NARA: http://aad.archives.gov/aad/record-detail....amp;rid=7556298 Is possible that this private was in the AIR FORCES? Thanks Giovanni

USAFnav Posted January 8, 2011 Share #3 Posted January 8, 2011 Back side of tags Buon Giorno Giovanni, I think the easiest explanation for the address difference is that the next of kin, in this case Mrs. S. Comstock, moved to another location sometime after the first set of dog tags were issued. The serviceman then probably requested another set of tags after Mrs. Comstock moved. Thus the two different address. Ciao, Pete
Longbranch Posted January 11, 2011 Share #4 Posted January 11, 2011 Also notice that the "T-XX" dates are different on each tag. One has "42" as the latest date, while the other has "43". This is definitely a case where the "next of kin" simply moved to a different place.
