robinb Posted January 7, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 7, 2011 I spent some time last weekend moving my M3 37mm AT gun into a better position, so I thought I'd share some new pictures. The rounds are all inert of course.
Garandomatic Posted January 7, 2011 Share #2 Posted January 7, 2011 Lock n Load with good ol' R. Lee Ermey featured the 37 quite a bit one episode. Lobbing shells (solid steel reloads, I imagine, that were machined for the collector) at an old Buick. It was beautiful, and even better when they shot it with the 76mm gun from an M18 Hellcat. Same kind of car that was driven by a worthless drunk at 7PM on a Monday night that rear-ended my wife. She wasn't hurt, but I love that episode. Ever think of firing that puppy? 37mm Gunner Posted January 8, 2011 Share #3 Posted January 8, 2011 What is that hanging from the recoil tube? I heard from a vet once that they used a wrench to bleed the recoil tube. Is that what the wrench attached to?
robinb Posted January 8, 2011 Author Share #4 Posted January 8, 2011 It's a leather thong attached to the drain plug. I'm missing one of the two retaining rings. That's why it's just hanging there. Making the ring is on my to-do list.
