robby Posted September 7, 2007 Share #1 Posted September 7, 2007 Picked up some 29th ID photos off ebay recently - here are some of the more interesting ones: As far as i can tell they are 121st Combat Engineers, taken mostly around Bremen. jgawne Posted September 8, 2007 Share #2 Posted September 8, 2007 The middle one is interesting as it shows they used the tactical markings up to the end- assuming that is when it was taken.
robby Posted September 8, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted September 8, 2007 there's also this one with the tactical marking: appears to be the same guy on the right of the 3rd photo. I'll have to check the back of the photos later - some have captions, unfortnately most don't.
limestone Posted September 8, 2007 Share #4 Posted September 8, 2007 Great photos! thanks for putting here Here is a battlefield relic from A/121st Eng. This sign was found early 90's in a farm near Guilers, North of Brest, in a 115th regiment area. When found and for years I did not know it was a 121st eng sign till Jon's article in Militaria Magazine. Back of the sign, made from 105 mm crate detail: Again, great photos!
