I had a brief story in Military Trader about the recentt 11th Massachusetts jacket that sold along with a couple of illustrations of it. I thought list members might enjoy reading it, so I posted it here:

I've seen his jacket and cdv in a book before.

 

Now if I could only pick the right lottery numbers, I'd be able to share cool stuff like that with the forums all the time...

Indeed, it is a cool piece. I have not seen the jacket in person, but it appears to be a cut-down 9-button frock coat. An enlisted man's frock will usually sell in the $12K-$20K range. This jacket is a good example of what solid provenance can do the value of an item!
