Tonight at our local Military Collectors Club Meeting, I had a chance to examine both wings shown at the beginning of this thread. After putting them under the glass, touchjing, feeling and rubbing them I ahve to say I NOW think the wing with the pebbled background is a good, Balfour wing. Up close examination proves this to my satisfaction.. The roll-catch is funky, but the rest of it is OK. Never too old to learn something new. This is one of the great things about this forum and its members we are here to share information and learn something new.
