fresh find. SQUADRON WEF 16 sdrn patch. flat cut edge, NON-merrowed. machine embr'ed on open cotton material (non-twill), white fine mesh backing. does NOT glow under

the UV blacklight. standard 5" diameter. pelican motif suggests USN, white star in blue circle unmistakenably USA, and of US mfgr....however conducted complete internet search.....could not find any reference(s) to SQUADRON 16 W.E.F.....

wondering as to the meaning of WEF initials. overall design appears to be VIETNAM vintage or soon thereafter. strange interesting exotic aviation sqdrn patch.

THE REVERSE SIDE SHOWS WHITE FINE MESH....REVERSE WHITE BOBBIN THREADS....nothing of which fluoresces under the UV blacklight

It is War Eagle Field in Riverside California. It is also WWII. A lot of these designs for WEF are Disney designs.
