Shoes WWI??

A member of our forum found this pair of shoes. I consulted the post:

But I can not define the exact period of these shoes.

They look like 1904 Russet Marching Shoes, used before and in the start of WWI. They look like repros though. Do they have any markings on the inside white lining? Let me see if I can dig my pair up for reference.

Bonjour.

 

Leather soles and heels marked "a Long Step" with a star in its center.

The interior is lined with a thin beige canvas and the tongue of a slightly felted fabric the same color.

No problem to put your shoes.
