TrenchRaider1918 Posted December 17, 2010 Share #2 Posted December 17, 2010 Bonjour A member of our forum found this pair of shoes. I consulted the post: http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/ind...showtopic=39225 But I can not define the exact period of these shoes. Merci. solcarlus They look like 1904 Russet Marching Shoes, used before and in the start of WWI. They look like repros though. Do they have any markings on the inside white lining? Let me see if I can dig my pair up for reference.
solcarlus Posted December 17, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted December 17, 2010 Bonjour. Leather soles and heels marked "a Long Step" with a star in its center. The interior is lined with a thin beige canvas and the tongue of a slightly felted fabric the same color. No problem to put your shoes. Regards solcarlus.
