aaf8 Posted January 2, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 2, 2007 Probably not the best set to start with since they're RAF but these volunteer mini-wings were worn by Bill Nichols an Eagle Sqd. Pilot - POW.

BEAST Posted January 5, 2007 Share #13 Posted January 5, 2007 Although not an aviator's pair of wings, I thought you might like to see these. Also since they have been reproduced, I would like the group's opinion if these are original or not. These are the early Air Assault wings, developed when the 11th Air Assault Division was developing concept.

Hawk914 Posted January 17, 2007 Share #18 Posted January 17, 2007 This is my favorite by default because I don't have any others! Belonged to my Dad's Uncle. Unfortunately I was given a bunch of his stuff when I was young and much of it paid the price in the form of dings and dents. Amico, I think? I'm not a collector of wings, although it would be nice to pick up some different examples... I especially like bombardier and gunners wings. However, even if I did build a nice collection this would still be my favorite... even if it is a bit beat up... Fade to Black...
pconrad02 Posted January 17, 2007 Share #19 Posted January 17, 2007 Here is a new favorite, just picked it up yesterday! Came out of a scrapbook A near mint J.R. Gaunt 3" pilot wing: (This is a little fuzzy on purpose)
aaf8 Posted January 23, 2007 Author Share #20 Posted January 23, 2007 Probably not the best set to start with since they're RAF but these volunteer mini-wings were worn by Bill Nichols an Eagle Sqd. Pilot - POW. Correction, These are not the wings I have to Nichols his were actually full size RAF wings. These are not id'd.
