Camp_Kearny Posted December 9, 2010 Share #5 Posted December 9, 2010 Reminds me of being dropped off at the Burbank airport by my Grandfather in the 1990s and seeing the Lockheed Plant being torn down. My Grandfather worked there from Dec 1941 until the mid 1970s. It was a little upsetting to see, but I guess we need to make room for progress. There is a mall on the old Lockheed site, but at least there are signs showing the various planes built there such as the P-38, P-80, Constellation, and SR-71.
