Ike: Countdown to D-Day.

IMHO, I think it's great to watch Patton, Ike, then Band of Brothers (or whatever order) to get different insights on the politics of WWII Europe.

Breaker Morant is one of my all time favorite movies of any genre. While there are two short fight scenes (the attack on the house and when the fort is attacked), it is primarily a courtroom drama involving 3 members of the Bushveldt Carbineers during the Boer War. I highly recommend this movie if you haven't seen it.

Hi All,

I have compiled a "recap" of all the favorite movies, and the numbers of mentions they received. For the people interested, the "Movie Title" counts as one mention. Other then that, there is no particular order to the order of the Titles. ;)

AND yes........ I do have too much time on my hands!! :w00t:

No one has yet mentioned my favorite--which I think a great 1965 Cold War movie. The Bedford Incident with Richard Widmark and Sidney Poitier takes place aboard the destroyer USS Bedford when it confronts a Soviet submarine. Although it isn’t a favorite, I think Val Kilmer as a Parris Island D.I. in Stateside is worth watching at least once. Even though there seems to be quite a few errors in Baby Blue Marine, it is a fun movie. Filmed in the shadow of spectacular Mt. Shasta, it stars Jan-Michael Vincent and a really pretty Glynnis O’Connor. Richard Gere makes a very brief appearance as a Marine Raider. Best wishes, Jim
