Navy serving with the Marines WW2 era PO3 Pharmacist. These were in shortage even back in WW2 in khaki. Supposedly this patch was worn at the battle of Guadalcanal in 1942 according to the seller. Even though I have no verfication, it is still a great rating badge.

Apothecary first class 1886-1893 era. Before they were known as Corpsman, before Pharmacist, before Steward, they were Apothecaries until 1898. The first rating badge symbol was the Pharmacist symbol until 1898, then came the red Geneva Cross until 1948. Then from 1948 on they went back to using the Pharmacist symbol.

Motor Machinst Mate CPO with original packaging 1942-1948 era. This rating existed under the Machinst Mate umbrella with no rating of it's own from 1921-1926, but in 1942 it returned with it's own rating and distinguishing rating badge.

Sailmaker 3rd class 1921-1927 era. Rating and rate existed 1921-1939. The rating itself was founded in 1775, by 1885 it was only in 2nd class PO only until 1893, then it was in first class PO only. Then in 1921 all grades except CPO were added.

Radarman CPO Grey 1944-1947. This rating is now known today as Operation Specialist. In 1942 this rating was established for PO3 only, then PO2 in 1943, then PO1 and CPO in 1944. In 1947 this symbol was abolished in favor of the current symbol. Name was changed to Operations Specialist in 1972.

Fire Control Technition CPO Blue and red bullion unused. This rating established 1946 with this symbol, in 1956 it was abolished in favor or our current Fire control tech symbol.

Naval Aviation Pilot 2nd class with curved wings. This rating existed 1924-1933 in CPO and 1st class PO only (1927-1933). Then returned for all grades in 1942-1948. Pilot wings used as rating symbol in both Curved wing and straight wing style during both time periods.
