Please ID this Navy sonar patch foe me.

I found this this patch on a table lot at an estate auction. The gentleman was retired navy and was a submariner but that is about all I know. The patch is 4-1/2" across. Thanks

It's from the USS Sand Lance (SSN-660) and the BQQ-5 is a "bow-mounted spherical array sonar acoustic system" and the Navy had a Sonar Technician AN/BQQ-5 Series classification.

My guess would be the sonar's manufacturer made those: it's not official.
