BEAST Posted November 23, 2010 Share #1 Posted November 23, 2010 Picked this up a few weeks ago in a box full of misc. patches. I recognize that it is for SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape) school. According to the website, the SERE Arch was approved in 1949 and is still worn today (see photo). I would appreciate any insight on the timeframe of its use or any other information that you could provide.

Patchcollector Posted November 23, 2010 Share #8 Posted November 23, 2010 I have the USAF water school, and (I think)one SERE patch with the knife on it,which if I remember right, was foreign made(maybe P.I?) I'll have to dig through my stuff and find it again.Did'nt they have several school locations, one for the Pacific,Atlantic,etc...?I seem to remember something about the Philippines and Panama, but I may be getting mixed up with some Army schools. Jason G Posted November 24, 2010 Share #9 Posted November 24, 2010 I picked one of those OD tabs up a few years back at a gun show, thought it was pretty cool then. Met a couple of those instructors at Brooks AFB when I was there in 08.
