MWalsh Posted November 14, 2010 Author #26 Posted November 14, 2010 Hah! You guys had me rolling with the Walgreens commands! I never even really thought about it. It was the 40 to 60mph wind (with snow) day a couple weeks ago, and it was COLD out there in that wind, so I was just focusing on staying warm as I could. My camera, even with new batteries, just kept crapping out, it was that bad in the wind. The museum inside... man, I'd have loved to have seen it. I agree, the concept of outlining the ship was cool, especially in the case of one so massive as the South Dakota. My pics which did not come through are of the smaller, 5 inch guns, comparison shots of the anchor & chains to btter show size, the write ups onthe 5 inch AA guns, all the campaign stars and other info, and the fire control director (the antenna looking device) on the "forward" part of the memorial. All in all it was interesting. Too bd my only day to shoot it was that bad one! MW
