kaszanka Posted April 19, 2019 #132 Posted April 19, 2019 Great , yet forgotten thread! little "revival" here with this ebay find, unnamed but with nice set of insignia - branch pins have micro screw posts with this clever clutch nut. ribbon bar is post war made... could be replacement ?
collectsmedals Posted April 20, 2019 #134 Posted April 20, 2019 I do not have a lot of medical related uniforms in my collection, but here is what I have. First is a woman's 1960s Chief Petty Officer Mess Dress uniform with jacket, blouse, skirt, cummerbund and miniature medals.
collectsmedals Posted April 20, 2019 #135 Posted April 20, 2019 This is an 8th Infantry Division medics uniform jacket.
collectsmedals Posted April 20, 2019 #136 Posted April 20, 2019 A United States Coast Guard corpsman's undress blues.
collectsmedals Posted April 20, 2019 #137 Posted April 20, 2019 This one is not really medical personnel, but it is a Vietnam era helicopter pilot assigned to a medical evacuation unit.
collectsmedals Posted April 20, 2019 #138 Posted April 20, 2019 Close-up of the Distinctive Insignia.
Ant1942 Posted April 20, 2019 #140 Posted April 20, 2019 One of the more underrated uniforms in the collection, I have a 7th Service Command uniform that I bought over the summer due to my great uncle serving in the 8th Service Command before going overseas to France as a medic. It's a shame it is not named (there is a name on the tag but I believe its the inspector) but from the ribbons on it, he obviously went overseas at some point. Prewar dated 1940 and still retains the belt loops for a sam browne belt. One more interesting thing about it is that he had the tailor take off the buttons and instead of sewing them back, put small metal loops on the back of the buttons instead
ww2guymandude Posted April 20, 2019 #141 Posted April 20, 2019 WWII 105th MedBn combat medic uniform ID’d to Capt. Ernest Spillinger. 2x BSM and PH recipient.
collectsmedals Posted April 20, 2019 #142 Posted April 20, 2019 Nice uniform! I love the way the buttons are fastened with the button rings.
Ant1942 Posted April 20, 2019 #143 Posted April 20, 2019 incredible find, love 99th ID stuff for sure
Ant1942 Posted April 20, 2019 #144 Posted April 20, 2019 Nice uniform! I love the way the buttons are fastened with the button rings. Thank you! I definitely find that interesting too
