apardini Posted October 30, 2010 Share #1 Posted October 30, 2010 I got this patch at a garage sale last week. I bundled it with some other non-military items and I'm not sure if it is WWII vintage. Any opinions?

shocktrooper15 Posted October 31, 2010 Share #5 Posted October 31, 2010 I would say yours is definitely WWII era. It has a similar font to mine and that cheesecloth-like backing.
Teamski Posted October 31, 2010 Share #6 Posted October 31, 2010 To be honest, I don't believe either are original. Except for theater made arcs, there is a definate look to original tabs. The letters are heavily weighted to one side and many tabs tend to "lean" a bit to the left. Here is a comparison shot. The 2nd is original and the 5th is an old Patch King repro. See this thread for more info. http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/ind...l=2nd+ranger+bn -Ski
