Gat this 508th PIR patch at a garage sale for $5. Can anyone tell me if is vintage WWII. It measures 3in in diameter

I'm thinking possibly 50s? I have one of similar manufacture which I believe to be a 50s pocket patch. The WW2 design continued to be worn in the post-war era. Still worth $5 though, in my humble opinion!

Anyone have more examples of a WWII 508th PIR for future reference

 

Eventhough it is allready a long time ago you asked for more examples, i thought i'd share the ones i have.

As you can see on the picture's; all three have a different background; from left to right:

 

darker grey, beige and brownish,

 

The one on the left is likely to be worn on a uniform, the one in the middle seems (to me) the most original, the right one misses the white colour in the M1, shoes and body.

Fastest way to tell Not WW2 is the lack of the white in the rifle stock
