AAAO Posted October 29, 2010 Share #1 Posted October 29, 2010 I'm making a film and am in need of custom stamped dog tags in the early style with next of kin. If anybody can link me to a reputable dealer who does quality and authentic work, it would be of great help. Thanks.

mpguy80/08 Posted October 29, 2010 Share #4 Posted October 29, 2010 I've had good luck with Stamped Out at: http://stampedout.net/ They made me a set of exact same type of dog tags. I have a pair of Stamped out tags... They are great and have the 1940 style link chain. Before you order, go to Hardscrabblefarm.com and look at their ASN generator. Follow the instructions to create an Army Service Number before ordering your tags from Stampedout.net! gpw_42 Posted October 30, 2010 Share #7 Posted October 30, 2010 http://www.m1940dogtagchain.com/ Is a GREAT source for COMFORTABLE dog tag chains. The ball and link, GI, ones cut into my neck. I've worn these from M1940 for years, on a daily basis, and have only positive things to say about them. If you're benchpressing, push them off to the side. Otherwise, superb! AAAO Posted October 30, 2010 Author Share #8 Posted October 30, 2010 Thanks Steve. That's a great resource. Given the availability and price of originals, I do plan on using an original chain. I would love some early brass colored Army dog tags though.
