hirsca Posted October 25, 2010 Share #1 Posted October 25, 2010 I acquired this along with several other items at the estate sale of a WW2 Veteran. The cards show a lot of use. The only date that I can find is on the Contract Bridge scoring card. Only one homemade peg. Any info is much appreciated. Thanks, Al Hirschler
AFBRAT Posted October 25, 2010 Share #2 Posted October 25, 2010 I do not know anything about it, however, it is a cool set. Nice find.
OD MAN Posted October 25, 2010 Share #3 Posted October 25, 2010 Hello very nice set, this was most likely either available to soldiers through the PX, or sold to the public as gifts aimed at servicemen. I personally have seen chess, chinese checkers, and checkers with the US seal. I have a 1943 dated game called the "Jeep Game" that was meant to be strapped on the soldiers leg when in small areas (like a tent or vehicle). It would look neat in a display. Justin
