TrevorR Posted October 24, 2010 Share #1 Posted October 24, 2010 In a local shop a few miles away there is a WWII Navy typewriter. Its about $50. Would that be a good buy? How much is it worth?
craig_pickrall Posted October 24, 2010 Share #2 Posted October 24, 2010 I'm not sure if being military adds value but the normal old manual typewritters are usually about $25. There isn't much of a market for them.
Bob Hudson Posted October 24, 2010 Share #3 Posted October 24, 2010 I looked at some past ebay sales and based on what a couple Navy typewriters sold for, I'd say that $50 is little less than you'd pay for one on ebay (including shipping). So if you want this for your collection, it's a fair price, but you'd priobably lose trying to re-sell it.
