mdeevl Posted September 16, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 16, 2010 I mainly collect WWII, but I couldn't leave this behind at the flea market. Wow, I can't believe it's been nearly 20 years since Desert Storm ! It also came with the second cover tucked up in the webbing  Thanks for lookin! Red_Nek Posted September 16, 2010 Share #3 Posted September 16, 2010 Nice find Doc! I love the "Chocolate Chip" camo. I'm not suprised that you found a woodland cover inside of the desert helmet. I was with the 1st Armored Div, 6/6 INF during Desert Shield/ Storm. We were the last ones to deploy to the desert before the war started. with that being the case, we fought the war in our woodland camo uniforms and didn't get the desert stuff issued until a month after the war was over. We were told to put our woodland covers in our helmets and put the desert covers on for the parades. Sorry for the long explanation, but that might be the case for your helmet as well.
