Here is my centerpiece of my ach/mich helmet collection. This one is straight from a 13F veteran who served with a ranger regiment. It is a 2005 MSA contract helmet with black skydex pads and a black chinstrap. It has a 4 color camo scheme. It took a little convincing to get it from him but he was finally willing to part with it.

I can't help but question it. It looked like it was never worn or painted recently. Maybe this Ranger turned in his issued helmet so he bought another and painted it but never been to overseas?

You would be correct on that. He rarley if ever used this helmet and was only ised stateside. It has never been overseas. The rhino mount however has been used much more.

Here is MY personal ach that i use. It is a 2009 contract gentex with a small/medium 2009 contract flapless cover. The chinstrap is also a 2009 gentex model and the pads are skydex made which are much more comfortable than the standard pads.
