vonradmil Posted July 30, 2015 Share #276 Posted July 30, 2015 Great helmet. I have been wanting to convert a CVC helmet for a long time. Too many other projects right now, and have to find a nice cheep shell to do so. This pic is one of my other converted albeit fantasy helmets, but it is cool and all I paid for is the add on parts, the helmet is a bike grade Protec. Great for a display and with some talent anyone can make one. 20150730_162134.jpg

NBusk Posted July 31, 2015 Share #283 Posted July 31, 2015 My newest Original "as found" or as bought helmet. This came out of Fort Lewis. I added nothing. This is a true OIF III era helmet with all proper type configuration dating to 2004. Nothing updated or added. No fancy stuff. All original. The only thing missing is the NVG plate and the owner took off his name and roster number from the camo band. Hard to find helmets with the original three color desert cover, many upgraded in 2006 to ACU pattern. 20150730_160234.jpg Love it! I agree, original 3 color desert helmets are hard to find, especially ones with all the goodies on them (patches, names, NVG mounts, etc.)
Hunter Whittaker Posted August 4, 2015 Share #284 Posted August 4, 2015 This is my untouched OIF helmet. I Found it in a box full of the soldiers items from his deployment. He brought all if it to a surplus store and that's where I found it! I bought a lot of items that belonged to the soldier who wore this helmet..unfortunetely I couldn't buy it all. I also never got to meet him. I haven't done anything to the helmet and have left it as is. I don't have a picture of the inside anymore but it's all there dirt n all. minesweeper Posted September 1, 2015 Share #287 Posted September 1, 2015 my first patched ACH came this morning along with body armor, boots and a grenade vest - this came from an Arizona National Guardsman who served in Afghanistan. From what he told me, only the Arizona soldiers wore this Pat Tillman memorial patch.

treesuit Posted January 11, 2016 Share #290 Posted January 11, 2016 I know this thread is for MICH/ACH but I have several older Kevlar helmets that are patched and fall into this category. Here is my fist one: 2/327th INF REGT, 101st ABN DIV on a DCU background with sew on rank and IR squares sewn on the top and back.
treesuit Posted January 11, 2016 Share #291 Posted January 11, 2016 Next one, a 2nd BDE, 502 INF REGT, 101st ABN DIV one, black background, no border. Both sides patched
