Korean War Helmet Liner

Hi Guys,

 

I was just wondering if anyone had any idea of how the decals were placed on Korean War Helmet liners? The reason I ask is because I am trying to restore a liner for my Grandfather so that it looks just like the one he wore back in his old army days. Im pretty sure they were water slide decals just like the kind found in model kits....sometimes there are originals for sale on ebay depending on what unit decals you are looking for or maybe you will have to have them custom made or hand paint them on the liner.... :think: ...sounds like a fun project!.. :thumbsup: ....mike
