WaA257 Posted September 2, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 2, 2010 I recently found an older style T-handle E-tool next to a trashcan. The problem is, it looks as if someone had used it to mix tar with. It's mostly on the blade. Any ideas on how to get it off??? I tried brake cleaner and gas but the stuff looks as if it has solidified. I have no Idea how long its been on there.
bheskett Posted September 2, 2010 Share #2 Posted September 2, 2010 Could you heat it and melt it off.
Coffeecup Posted October 25, 2010 Share #3 Posted October 25, 2010 Sorry for the thread necromancy, folks. One option might be a visit to a local janitorial supply company. Take the e-tool and explain what you want to do. Most of them will have something that will work, but with hardened tar it will take a while. The stuff I used was intended to cleanup tar, shoe marks, etc.
