m1a2u2 Posted August 31, 2010 Share #1 Posted August 31, 2010 Can we break down what this Marine is wearing? From previous posts we can tell that those are special Marine Corps M1910 suspenders. Any idea on the pack, belt (M1903 special Marine pattern?) or bedroll? Heres another shot: What about these sailors getting ready to land in Veracruz:
Alec Posted August 31, 2010 Share #2 Posted August 31, 2010 Marine is using his bedroll as a shooting bench and he has a standard USMC Depot made 1908 haversack attached to his USMC Mills 1907 cartridge belt.

Is the only difference between this M1907 belt and an Army one the EGA snaps?
Alec Posted September 1, 2010 Share #4 Posted September 1, 2010 Is the only difference between this M1907 belt and an Army one the EGA snaps? Yes, but there is some color variance in example comparison although not significant. Mint examples show a shade difference, but that may be a result of time and storage. Purchasing records did not denote shade only color.
El Bibliotecario Posted September 1, 2010 Share #5 Posted September 1, 2010 "Hey Hombre, you hitting low and to the left. Try a lettle Tiajuana windage." These are great photos of the field gear--and I learned thr marines apparently didn't adapt campaign hats with Montana peaks at the same time as the army.
