Fezman92 Posted August 30, 2010 Share #1 Posted August 30, 2010 One of the items in my small collection is a US Army WWII duffel bag. It has some holes at the bottom and I am not sure where to go to look for scraps to patch it up. Here are some pics. I also have a pistol belt that has rusted and rust stain. Any help is appreciated. ww2collector Posted October 28, 2010 Share #2 Posted October 28, 2010 Hi Fezman92, I personally would leave the items as they are, but ofcourse that is a personal decision. If I wanted to try to remove the rust stains only with a medium hard brush trying to gently wipe the stains away, the rusted pieces I would try to brush them as clean as possible and with maybe some time of oil tip them with a small earcleaning sticks. Regarding the duffle bag maybe find someone who can patch it using original cloth and thread.. Sorry if I made some mistakes my english is far from perfect.. good luck with your items and I hope I made some sense Maybe someone else has some other ideas.
