285th FAOB Posted August 29, 2010 Share #1 Posted August 29, 2010 Im having trouble posting pictures from my flicker account. I copy and past the URL but keep getting this message. You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board. A valid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.gif, an invalid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.one.gif Any suggestions? Thanks

Thanks I don't know for certain, 285th, but do you have your photos on Flikr set to not allow downloading by others? I believe "picture.one.gif" is the name of any picture on the site that is copyright protected from downloading. That might also mean it's protected from being linked to on an outside message board. Just a thought. Kevin

285th FAOB Posted September 7, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted September 7, 2010 Ive used Flicker in the past with no problem so they must have changed their format or something. Just switched back to Photobucket and all is well. Thanks
Mr.Jerry Posted November 25, 2010 Share #5 Posted November 25, 2010 Make sure that you don't have a xxx.xxx.jpg file extention you can only use a period in the file name before the JPG extension. you can use dashes, but not periods or backslashes ( they define a folder hierarchy)
