Cpl Punishment Posted August 20, 2010 Share #1 Posted August 20, 2010 Have a chance to purchase these wings and just curious if anyone knows if these are legit and from what time period. They measure approximately 1 1/8". Sorry, but these are the best pics I have at the moment. Thanks for any info. Link to comment

Cpl Punishment Posted August 20, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted August 20, 2010 Ok, thanks Paul. Thought the O looked a little off from the examples I found while researching. Plus I couldn't find any enameled variations... Link to comment
Allan H. Posted August 20, 2010 Share #4 Posted August 20, 2010 GORGEOUS sweetheart wing. It is for an Observer. As the "O" is enameled blue, I would assume it was a sweetheart piece for the Royal Australian Air Force. It is undoubtedly an RAF/ Commonwealth wing. Allan Link to comment

Allan A close-up of the marking after the word STERLING might help ID the country of origin. Regards Mike Link to comment
Cpl Punishment Posted August 21, 2010 Author Share #6 Posted August 21, 2010 Thought it might be a sweetheart piece. Yeah, the seller said she couldn't make out the makers mark and couldn't get a good pic. Oh well, passing on it anyway since it seems to be foreign. Link to comment
