teufelhunde.ret Posted August 4, 2007 Share #1 Posted August 4, 2007 Had forgotten about these... stuck away in a box. I acquired these as a novelty of sorts. Wish these had come with the rest of "the parts". Unsure if they were destined to become the sweetheart or a set of the H&H Cap & Collars for Marine Officers in WW2. Or for that matter dress or service emblems. Interesting to note, copper components and how crude the emblems are in this stage, as the edges from the die stamping are quite rough. Has anyone else aquired emblem components such as these?

bobgee Posted August 4, 2007 Share #5 Posted August 4, 2007 Pretty neat Darrell. I'm guessing they're unfinished Officer pieces some one picked up. They look like WWII to 1962 era to me. Not sterling marked so maybe they would have been finished as service emblems or dress. I personally don't think they started out to be sweethearts. S/F..........Bob
