mdeevl Posted August 14, 2010 Share #1 Posted August 14, 2010 Well . . . half of one anyway :ermm: I love oddities, and this fit the bill for me. It is about a yard long, but looks like it was trimmed and hammered smooth at the bottom. Made of thin steel and riveted along the seam. 4" diameter on the tube. Inside is a leather cone shaped plunger It matches pics I've seen of the manual pump on the nose of DUKW's (Those are about 6' long), just cut short And the bottom where the 'flap' valve is: At least the stencil is nice Doc
mdeevl Posted August 17, 2010 Author Share #2 Posted August 17, 2010 Here are a couple of links to pics of the Bilge Pump in place on a DUKW: :w00t: <Bilge Pump on a DUKW > < Another one > Was the brass flapper valve located at the bottom of pump? If so, I guess mine was relocated when the pump was shortened ???? Doc
