Chap15 Posted August 7, 2010 Share #1 Posted August 7, 2010 Here is my latest restoration project. A WWII Navy Estey pump organ. They were used by chaplains on transport ships. A friend gave this to me. The covering was coming off and part of case had been removed or fell out. I used a spray on glue to put the cloth back on. There were some screws inside of the organ which I used, but I also purchased some brass screws to help secure the wood. I used steel wool to remove the rust from the hinges and latches. The billows work just fine.

Chap15 Posted August 7, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted August 7, 2010 There was still some red color on the hinges and latches. I didn't want to go any deeper with the steel wool.

fortworthgal Posted September 10, 2010 Share #9 Posted September 10, 2010 Neat find! And good job on the restoration. I've only seen one of these in person, and it was at an estate sale, before we started collecting. Maybe close to 10 years ago. I can't remember the price but I want to say it was around $40. And yes, I still kick myself.
