bobgee Posted October 3, 2010 Share #26 Posted October 3, 2010 Here's an enlisted dress hat emblem made by Meyer with the marking "OROID" on one of the flukes. Steve Hey Steve - Check that bird again. I think that's an H&H Eagle on the fluke; not a Meyer mark or shield? Semper Fi....Bob

Alec Posted October 6, 2010 Author Share #28 Posted October 6, 2010 Thought you might appreciate the ORIGINAL blueprint drawing for the 1925 EGA. I have a letter stating the Commandant expresses his "regret" over changing the design to a more modern look. Also solved the mystery behind why no EM Droop Wing Cap badges. teufelhunde.ret Posted October 6, 2010 Share #29 Posted October 6, 2010 I have a letter stating the Commandant expresses his "regret" over changing the design to a more modern look. That statement would make one pause to think, was the implementation delayed by Gen Lejeune and Fuller more over displeasure with the Eagle's design or the costs of moving forward with the execution, in the depth of the depression years
