Specialist 7 on left. Not sure what SAFSEA was.

Just determined SAFSEA is the Safeguard System Evaluation Agency.

A Specialist 5 being promoted to Staff Sergeant. This particular soldier was a 71H3O Personnel Specialist who served between 1966 and 1971. He is wearing Air Defense Artillery branch insignia. The officer promoting him is from the Air Force.

Revisiting this photo Kurt A noticing the chinstrap, after study, this chinstrap s not even your standard officers service cap chinstrap, which is what, what s this called, flat bullion???, this one he's wearing is a metal one with vertical segmented whatever you want to call it, doesn't appear to be slide keepers either. Wonder what it is he's wearing, a chinstrap form a civilian Marching Band Shako??? And why is wearing it?
