Thanks guys, glad I bumped the thread, hits have almost doubled.

Has anyone ever seen any of the M-47’s that were made for the film?

Government Issue

What scale do you consider the model to be? It looks like around 1/6th or so. Is it handmade The detail is pretty incredible!

What a great tank. I hope you enjoy this detailed movie prop as it is very rare indeed.

Take care

To keep the party going, this was a post I made over on WMF.

Just seen this, I thought it was pretty cool, clever take, the figure for Oberst Martin Hessler is from that old 1968 Tamiya Panzer Crew kit, like theee very first kits Tamiya ever released.

One more view. Plus Hessler's tank in the movie.

Seeing this movie at an impressionable age and inheriting my older brothers' copy of Avalon Hill's KRIEGSPIEL probably led to me becoming a 19E a few years later.  Mandatory soundtrack - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JDkdc246QQ  &   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGwr19Sl_7c&t=54s

The Chaffee is back in show biz on public display.

As of last Friday, the Battle of the Buldge Chaffee is at the Ronald Reagan Library in So Cal to promote the up and coming "Secrets of WWII" exhibit which opens April 2nd.

Visit reaganfoundation.org to get the details!

Same here, how did I miss this?! Amazing prop to have and I'll have to drive up to the Reagan Library to see it. Thanks for the heads up!
