Very cool and great looking patches.I thought PSU's, Port Security Unit, didn't come around till the late 80's.I have a buddy that was in a PSU in DS.

Happy that my shirt was appreciated.

Here another interesting shirt from USN VN era PBR 533.

I found also the biography of the owner :

A Biography

A Naval Biography of

Everette P. (Yogie) Hebert

Born: September 13, 1946

Place: Houma La.

I enlisted in the U.S. Navy April 24, 1964 and went

to boot camp at San Diego, California. Then I attended En.A

school, class 9/65, at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center

in Illinois from August 1964 to November 1964.

In December of 1964, I reported aboard the

U.S.S. William R. Rush as an En.fa. I served on the Rush

until June 1966 and obtained the rank of En.3rd class. While

onboard the Rush, we made a Mediterranean cruise and went to

Cuba, Puerto Rico and Jamacia.

In June of 1966, I arrived in Vallijo, California at

the Mare Island P.B.R. (Patrol Boat River) school. Upon

completion of the P.B.R. school in August of 1966, I went to

Coronado, California for S.E.R.E. (Survival,Evasion, Resistance

and Escape) training and Vietnamese language school. Then in

September of 1966, we flew to Cubi Point in the Phillipines

for J.E.S.T. (Jungle, Enviromental, Survival, Training).

On September 27, 1966, we arrived at the Ton Sa Nute

airport in Saigon, South Vietnam and were assigned to Task

Force 116, Riveron 5, to start P.B.R. Section 532 in Cat Lo,

Vietnam. When Section 532 went to My Tho, I stayed in Cat Lo

to start P.B.R. Section 533.

Section 533 moved to Nah Be in November of 1966 and

patrolled the Long Tau and Soi Rap Rivers. In April of 1967,

the Section (533) moved to an L.S.T. on the Co Chin River.

We lost friends, Wilber "POPs" Cosson, R.D.1., Patrol

Officer, Willian Dennis GMGSN to a V.C. snipers bullets.

On September 5th 1967, Bill Bringman, En.3rd. and I flew

to San Francisco, California. We reported to Treasure Island

Naval Station and seperated out of the U.S. Navy on

12 September 1967.

I married my wife, Evelyn, in April 1968. Now,Thirty

eight years later in 2006, we have two sons, Everette Jr. 35` and

Andrew 22 yrs. old.

Vietnam was an experiance I will never forget, Lets keep

in touch !!!

if it is, then the theory I would put forward was he was wounded at Anzio, a little earlier on and was in the rear getting treated, and thus missed out in the debacle at Cisterna, and with his unit gone now, was transferred to the FSSF when he was fit for duty rather then sent home.

Thank you Patches. From what I could find it looks like he was wounded at Anzio.

BG William R.Bond. No longer in my collection, I had the honor of being caretaker for a short time. They currently reside in The Bond Room at the Infantry Museum. The pics are courtesy of Dave. When I was into uniforms this was my favorite and most significant.

General uniform used from 1941-46. Worn by GO of 94th infantry division.

Nice jacket, but its an Army Green uniform, which was introduced in the late 1950s. Not from WWII.

Here is my only and favorite uniform which is identified to John R. Angstadt who was a Horse Marine at the American Legation, Peiping, China, 1934-1937. The photograph is of Angstadt and "Telegraph," Peiping, China, 1937.

This is currently my favourite. An original, unissued M-42 jump jacket that belonged to two-time Silver Star recipient, Lt Fred Bahlau, H/506th and C/506th PIR 101st Airborne. This was acquired directly from the family. I added the M-1C for display.

This is my current favorite, although I'm not really sure about rare. Its named to a Sgt. Latta who was a member of the 13th airborne, although I haven't seen his oval before so I can't I identify what regiment he may have been a part of and whether he was a paratrooper or glider borne. What I really love about it is that he was also a member of the 51st Armored Infantry Regiment of the 4th armor, identified by a screw back DUI that I found in his pocket. I really wish that I knew more about the individual because with 3 overseas bars I believe that he may have served for a year in the 4th armored very early in the war before switching to airborne and spending another 6 months having every one of his drop zones overrun, in one case only an hour before the planes left. It makes for a very interesting combination of units.
