This Frogskin Camo Jacket belonged to Bill Strader of Morgantown, WV. He was a Linesman at the battle of Okinawa. It is constructed from shelter half material. 10171628_755483514487678_510178161458283

Not a particularly rare or exciting uniform as it is unnamed, however I couldn't help myself from bringing this home with me last weekend. For some reason I just had a great affinity for it. Has Lieutenant Colonel ranks and is dated august 1955 on the inside pocket. It's now on display in my study as my new favourite uniform.

I picked this one up not too long ago, but it has to be the rarest uniform in my collection. Double patched USMC uniform, ID'd.

Here is my favorite - and my most recent. A 3-kill fighter pilot, who by records, scored the last aerial kill for WW2.

He went to the 44th FS in 42 and came back to train before heading back over in late 44-45 to the 333rd.

Here is a link to the thread:

My only fighter pilot group and its a lovely one!

Both of the new additions to this thread are stellar! That FSSF group is rarer than rare and what a story on your aviator DWIV's!

542nd PIB Ike jacket to Pfc Daryl H Reinke. Finally IDed after going through a list of serial numbers and names forum member carbinephalen provided me some time ago. Mr Reinke served from 1943-1946 as a rifleman. He passed away in 2007.

Hey Daniel,

These are just a couple of my higher end items that I haven't shared here yet. Some day I hope to get some of my better groups on the forum.

Cannot wait to see what else you have to share JD. Incredible groups. Those AAF boys sure did seem to keep their groups in their possession and extremely intact. Thank you for your very fine contributions to this thread!
