hbtcoveralls Posted June 18, 2010 Share #2 Posted June 18, 2010 I used to borrow a 1912 and a guy in my outfit had an M-34 so I think I can help. The major difference is that the side walls on the M-34 are about 4' high while the side walls on the M-1912 are about 2' high. The other differences are the khaki color of the 1912 versus the OD color of the M-34 and the internal construction of the 2 tents. 1912s were sewn together and had no re-inforcements on the inside while M-34s had web reinforcement on each seam where the corner went to the top. The rope adjusters on the 1912 were tubular steel while on the M-34 they were coiled wire. Is there any other specific information you need? I might be able to dig out a photo of the 1912.
