General Apathy Posted July 24, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 24, 2007 The Beltring War & Peace show went ahead last weekend, however there was so much rain throughout England that it was for some participants hard work getting there through the flooded areas on route. With the movement of all the trucks and heavy armor all the tracks became mud baths, but despite this it was very enjoyable and there were some excellent dioramas. Most of the groups had worked a complete year or more to build their sets before attending and setting up. Well done to them. Here's just a couple of shots of the tracks, the 29th Div V-2 site was very well done with bombed and twisted rail tracks and busted bunkers, etc. It's just announced on the radio that nearly half a million homes in central England are without drinking water due to flooding of the treatment plants. Even a larger number of homes are under water and their families have been evacuated. Cheers ( Lewis )

General Apathy Posted July 24, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted July 24, 2007 Hi Johan, yes it was good meeting you and the other guys at Beltring, and it was really enjoyable having the time to stand and talk and not there working. So catch you soon I hope out in Normandy. Cheers ( Lewis )
