Went aboard as ASEAA and left as ASE3 was there from Aug '73 to july '75 The one patch was worn on working jacket the other was put away. The patch on the right was the ships last patch which my sister got for my whie in Yokosuka. All KH patches were bought in the ships store. Both these patches were bought in the ships store during the same tour. I have no idea why they are different other than different makers. Went aboard as SM2 left as SM1. The left patch was my fathers from '60-62 when he was on USS Perkins DDR 877. The right one was mine from '80-'81. The older one is cooler!.
