??Different colors for Combat troop chevrons WWII

I was wondering if during WWII there was a different color scheme for the enlisted rank chevrons for those who were combat troops vs. non combat? Seems to me I might have read something about that on this forum... Thanks

There were many color shades used during WW2 but they weren't to separate combat from non-combat MOS. I think you might have the blue / gold chevrons used from 1948 to 1951 in mind.
