On the face blank, there should be a little round circle that will have a date in it and the Mfg. name. If you can find that, take a picture and post it.

More pictures. If you mean what it says in the 2nd picture it says in the circle insignia: 56 (at top) F (in middle)

1C 10 (at bottom) This insignia is in at least 2 places, below it in 1 place it says M 8 . In another spot its marked NY 5234-404 and in the front above the orange it has a 4 and below that CD V-800.

Most of these would have been stored in Civil Defense shelters for the masses in case of attack. Not overly rare, but on one gas mask site, the guy is asking $200 for his, but I doubt it's worth that much. I had a rarer CD mask that came in a carry bag and looks like the XM28 grasshopper mask, I couldn't get $40 out of it because no one knew what it was. Hard telling what you could get out of it. Might scan eBay and type in M-16 mask or civil defense mask and see what pops up.
