Disney Insignia - 204th Q.M. Bn (M)

An unusual representation of a Disney insignia. It's hand-painted on an Italian tile and glazed. In an old odd-looking frame. I have no history on its origins but the unit served in Italy and I assume it was produced there for a member of the unit.

According to my database, this design was created in the fall of 1942.

Here is the image as it appeared in the March 1943, Volume 3 No. 6 issue of Walt Disney's Comics & Stories comic book. The comic book series reproduced Disney-designed combat insignia in several issues, picturing either 6, 12 or 24 designs in each issue.

The crow is from the film Dumbo. I just noticed that if you look very closely, you can see the unit designation written across the front bumper in Bob's example.
