I assume his Aviator Number "L-106" means lighter than air? Also, can anyone dig up more info on this man? I always have a soft spot for the airship guys and that is due to my dad. By his own account, he did so lousy in navy pilot training in WW2 that his options were blimps, or float planes. He opted for fixed wing and flew PBYs.
