flashesandovals Posted March 22, 2013 #160 Posted March 22, 2013 I just love the 1/509th Gingerbread man worn as an SSI here!

90thDivHistory Posted March 23, 2013 #162 Posted March 23, 2013 This for you 90thDivHistory. Now this next one can not be mistaken for anything but soldiers the T&O Division, it during the D-Day period, uncertain when this was taken, it is taken aboard a ship, but will it be in England just before the D-Day armada shoved off? (not sure there, wasn't it always dreary and drizzly in the days before Overlord kicked off?) or is this follow up Divisional support units standing off Utah while waiting to go ashore after the fighting moved inland on a bright sun shiny day? Yep that is 90th ID for sure. B Co. 359th Inf. aboard LCI 326 on June 2-3. There are about 3 more photos that go with this shot and they are all great. Thanks for posting this one. I will try to find some of the neat SSI photos I have from combat for the 90th. Respectfully, Tyler Alberts

patches Posted March 23, 2013 #165 Posted March 23, 2013 The Army Reserve. The 3rd Battle Group 10th Infantry, 83rd Infantry Division USAR, out of Ohio, photo taken at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, summer 1964. Of note is the continued use of all the old familiar stuff.
