1968 photo of Army Reservists of an unknown unit, one of whom is wearing the XX Corps SSI. The two men in the center look vaguely familiar. Anyone?

3rd Armored Division worn early in World War II. Note the HQ discs and early style Armored branch disc. The soldier is wearing the American Defense Service Medal ribbon. He stated he was inducted on December 4, 1941.

Southern Command SSI worn by a doctor on his OG-107 fatigues and by a medic on jungle fatigues. Panama 1974. Note the doctor is also wearing a tab (RANGER?) while the specialist is not.

Retrying the previouys post:

Mission To Iran SSI worn by H. Norman Schwarzkopf, Sr., father of Stormin' Norman, as a colonel in Iran in World War II. Note the orientation of the SSI as he is wearing it is different from the way it is shown in the photo which is the only way I have seen it oriented online and in reference books. Either he is wearing it incorrectly, or the references are wrong.

Officer candidates of the California Natinal Guard in 1957. Various branches, with all but one wearing the SSI of the 40th Armored Division. Note the Infantry officer in the first photo wearing jump wing and an oval and the Armor officer in the second photo is wearing a multi-colored fourragere.

Members of the 22nd Regimental Combat Team 4th Infantry Division prepare to board aircraft wearing parachutes in 1953. I assume they are not paratroopers.

Subdued 4th Infantry Division with numerl "3" embroidered on it and a scroll, probably "LONG RANGE PATROL" worn in Vietnam. I would assume this indicated the 3rd Brigade LRP unit.

Company commander of the 1st Battalion 27th Infantry 25th Infantry Division presenting medal to a soldier in Vietnam. Note the odd theater made 25th ID SSI the specialist is wearing with a tab, probably WOLFHOUNDS.

Subdued 25th Infantry Division SSI worn with a full color (orange and yellow) tab, possibly WOLFHOUND, in Vietnam. Note the cut down short sleeve jungle jacket, common among sailors but rare in the Army.
